Amelia grew up on a high country sheep station in Canterbury, New Zealand - where her great love for animals was born.
After spending many years away from home, travelling abroad & gaining 'life experience' - she has found her way back to the life she cherished growing up - back in the hills, and again inspired by the "four legged variety" she now surrounds her daily life with.
Gaining her art tuition during her high school years in CHCH, Amelia went on to gain her Bachelor of Arts (Art History & Theatre Studies) at the University of Otago, and completed further study at the University of Amsterdam.
A career highlight included being employed as the 'expedition artist' for the 'Tracing Tea' documentary filmed in India. Amelia also accepted a major commission for the dairy conglomerate 'Fonterra' for a series of works depicting the dairy industry - these paintings and prints now hang in various company locations around the world.
In 2015, her painting 'Distiguishable' was purchased by Lincoln University to hang n their collection.
Amelia continues to exhibit her work in New Zealand - and now has works in both national and international art collections.
Amelia also writes and performs as an actress under the name 'Amelia Dunbar'
